Ersatz 2012. What are we going to do.

Hello Ersatzers, 

The news is out, there will be no Reboot this year - so we have an obligation to re-Ersatz. Having said that; I've come to the personal conclusion that the Ersatz of the last two years had a bad effort/attendance ratio. I'd like Ersatz this year to maybe  be a little less involved, but to make sense for more people.

Some thoughts:

Maybe a one day event instead of a two-day event

Maybe consider bonfire + marshmallows + conversation the core of Ersatz and do just that and then add a little conversation before and after 

An alternative, I think could really work: Rent Høkeren for a day, and do an "Internet bar with talks in the back room" style event; that might draw out a bigger crowd and keep the tone light. 

But that's just me. I'm pretty sure I'm not organizing a two-day return to our previous camp grounds but I'm open to suggestions for what we could do. Pipe in in the comments.

I'm in for a one night/day event and I think you are right about the low ratio attendance.
I would rather join a Internet underground selfconference with low expectations and get surprised by the crowd. Not to say that the last two years were not good, they were excellent and opened my mind for interesting issues and good people.

Let's do another Ersatz - an ersatz for ersatz;-)
